At YouthHOPE we recognize the important role that youth leaders and mentors play in the lives of youth it’s why we spend so much focused time and energy in training global youth workers. At the end of December YH partners Ellen and Elijah Ombati of Nasha Ministries in Narok, Kenya held one of their annual youth camps, which 150 youth attended! For five days prior to the camp they got together 25 new volunteer youth leaders from the community to prepare and train them for leadership of the camp. “This was one of the best camps we’ve ever had!” –Ellen. In the days leading up to the camp those youth leaders were trained and had the opportunity to connect with each other. The little time and money that was invested in these leaders gave them meaningful relationships with each other and a passion for ministering to the youth. “I usually have a lot of the responsibility but when we got there they really took off and I was able to sit back and let them lead.” –Ellen. This youth camp and training was made possible by Ends of the Earth Cycling in partnership with YouthHOPE.
