Recently, I’ve seen multiple blog postings, articles and sermons on the topic of inter-generational ministry in the church today.  There is a growing awareness that we need to rethink the way we interact within the body of Christ, the way we see unity and the way we work together.  In a recent lesson, Kara Powell, from Fuller Youth Institute, challenged the church to “be a circle.”  In a circle, we are able to see one another, face to face, and stand together, shoulder to shoulder.  The goal of inter-generational ministry is to connect all generations.  To take the wisdom of the older generation and pass it on to the youth.  To take the exuberance of the youth and reignite passion in the older generations.  To “encourage one another daily” as Hebrews exhorts...
